INDIAN DISH!!





MOONG DAL TADHKA

Moong dal (without skin) 100gm
Water 500ml
Turmeric ¼ tspn
Salt to taste
Bay leaf 1nos

TEMPERING-
 Desi ghee 30gm
Cumin ½ tspn
Red chilli powder ½ tspn
Hing a pinch

GARNISH-
Chopped coriander leaves

PREPARATION:

Pick, wash and soak the dal for about 30 minutes. Put in brass vessel. Add water & bay leaf. Bring to a boil. Remove scum. Simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes. Slightly mash with a wooden spoon. Add salt.
Heat ghee, add cumin; when it starts spluttering and add hing & red chilli powder. Immediately pour over dal. Transfer the dal to a serving dish. Garnish & serve hot with chapattis & subzi.
